This role is pivotal in delivering direct patient care by meticulously reviewing medical histories and synthesizing comprehensive data relevant to patient health. The physician will execute immediate decision-making and actions essential to avert mortality or further disability in both prehospital settings and emergency departments. Responsibilities include the prompt recognition, assessment, treatment, stabilization, and management of a diverse adult and pediatric patient population facing acute medical conditions and injuries.Key Position Highlights:
- Collaborative team of six emergency department physicians
- Robust support from full-time hospitalist coverage and various specialties
- 24/7 access to specialized service lines including mental health and cardiology
- Approximately 9,000 patient visits annually
- 11-bed emergency department
- Experienced team of CRNAs, nurses, and employed EMS professionals
- Level IV Trauma Center, recognized as Stroke Ready
- Streamlined transfers to affiliated tertiary care hospitals
- Utilization of Epic with Dragon dictation technology
- 12-hour shifts, averaging 12 per month, with flexible scheduling options
- Daily operations of an Express Care Clinic staffed by physicians and APPs
- Eligibility for relocation and signing bonuses
- Hospital-employed model with competitive compensation
- Standard hourly rate with 1.5x pay for holidays
- 5% Annual Performance Incentive Bonus

- MD, DO, or equivalent foreign training is required.
- Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience.
- Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
- Capability to secure and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet credentialing criteria and hospital privileges, if applicable.
- ACLS/BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
- ATLS or CALS certification preferred.
- PALS certification required.
Physical Demands:
Medium Work: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally, and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
