Position Overview:
The Emergency Medicine Physician is accountable for delivering direct patient care by evaluating the patient's medical history and synthesizing comprehensive data relevant to their health. This role requires immediate decision-making and actions to avert life-threatening situations in both prehospital environments and emergency departments. The physician will recognize, assess, treat, stabilize, and determine the disposition of a diverse population of adult and pediatric patients experiencing acute medical conditions and injuries.

- A collaborative team of six emergency department physicians
- Robust support from various specialties including surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, and more
- 24/7 access to specialized service lines such as cardiology and mental health
- Approximately 9,000 patient visits annually
- 11-bed emergency department
- Experienced team of CRNAs and nursing staff
- Level IV Trauma Center, Stroke Ready designation
- Streamlined transfer processes to a tertiary care network
- Utilization of Epic with Dragon dictation for efficiency
- Flexible scheduling with an average of 12 shifts per month
- Daily operations of an Express Care Clinic staffed by physicians and advanced practice providers
- Eligibility for relocation and signing bonuses
- Hospital-employed model with competitive compensation
- Standard hourly rate with premium holiday pay
- 5% Annual Performance Incentive Bonus

- Continuing Medical Education (CME) funding available
- MD, DO, or equivalent international training required
- Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice or ability to obtain
- Capability to secure and maintain DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Must meet credentialing criteria for hospital privileges
- ACLS/BLS certification required within 180 days of hire
- ATLS or CALS certification preferred
- PALS certification required
Physical Requirements:
Medium Work: Ability to lift weights up to 32 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently.
