Job Summary

Mother Wolf Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen leadership, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in all aspects of BOH operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand, in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
  • Ensure timely and efficient kitchen activities.
  • Oversee weekly and monthly inventories, monitoring and recording stock levels, and ordering new supplies as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen employees, including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
  • Create schedules for kitchen staff and evaluate their performance.
  • Maintain Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  • Coach and develop BOH staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees.
  • Control costs and minimize waste by reviewing food and labor costs with the Executive Chef.
  • Possess practical knowledge of the job duties of all supervised employees.
  • Effective communication with the team, restaurant leadership, and ownership.

Requirements:

  • At least two (2) years' experience in a full-service, moderate to high-volume restaurant.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to focus, multitask, and work well under pressure.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
  • Current SNHD Food Handler card.
