About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in culinary management and leadership, with a strong focus on producing high-quality dishes and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of assigned kitchen(s) and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Direct and oversee the daily activities of assigned kitchen staff, including main kitchen, prep, banquets, butcher shop, and garde manger.
  • Conduct daily inspections of assigned kitchen(s) and delegate job tasks and responsibilities throughout these kitchens.
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining new recipes, presentations, and products.
  • Implement daily 'special' menu at the direction of the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years prior Sous Chef experience preferably in fine dining operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
  • Minimum 3 years prior inventory/cost control experience.
  • Well-rounded food background with extensive knowledge of all kitchen equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
  • Outstanding communication, organization skills, and attention to detail.
  • Adequate computer skills.

Education:

  • Technical Culinary Diploma or two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
