Executive Chef Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Tuscany Suites and Casino. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation in our kitchens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment according to our standardized recipes.
- Ensure that all food products are stored and rotated properly to maintain quality and freshness.
- Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to reach, bend and pull frequently and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a heated environment with varying temperatures.
