We are seeking a highly skilled Turbomachinery Thermal Analyst to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Lunar Transportation business unit, you will play a critical role in the development of our Blue Moon lander product lines.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thermal analysis and modeling of turbomachinery components and systems using ANSYS and other tools.
- Develop and maintain thermal models to predict component temperatures and heat transfer rates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop turbomachinery systems for our lunar lander.
- Work closely with NASA and our National Team Partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Contribute to the development of our Lunar Transportation system, which will enable safe and sustainable human spaceflight.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical field.
- 6+ years of experience in turbomachinery thermal and fluid analysis.
- Strong understanding of heat transfer, flow, and thermodynamic principles.
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical field.
- Experience with cryogenic applications and electric motor-driven pumps.
- Experience in all phases of turbomachinery life cycle in flight vehicle applications.
At Blue Origin, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $102,383-$143,335, depending on location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.
