We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin, working on the development of reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. As a key member of our Thermal Integrated Product Team (Thermal IPT), you will contribute to the definition and development of spacecraft thermal control systems, ensuring safe and repeatable space flight.
Responsibilities- Develop and manage thermal specifications and requirements at subsystem and component levels.
- Develop and manage thermal interfaces, including Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and models, in collaboration with adjacent IPTs.
- Decompose requirements from system and subsystem levels into lower-level requirements.
- Own the verification and validation of thermal requirements, in collaboration with thermal test engineers.
- Perform traceability analysis of requirements to higher levels and to verification.
- Strong technical skills in thermal systems engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with end users, system owners across Blue Origin, and external resources.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, contributing to innovative solutions.
- Personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail.
As a Thermal Systems Engineer at Blue Origin, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, contributing to the development of safe and efficient spacecraft thermal control systems. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team, working closely with thermal analysts and designers, as well as other IPTs to ensure successful execution of the thermal subsystem in the larger spacecraft and mission.
