Financial Analyst III Job Description

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Financial Analyst III, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of our space programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial analysis and reporting to ensure projects are within budget
  • Prepare project budgets and provide analysis on funding profiles, time-phased labor and non-labor expenditure
  • Help build and improve financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Analyze and identify financial data required to support vehicle tracking
  • Recommend and implement operational improvement measures and identify key financial and non-financial risks
  • Present data to support program, financial, and operations reviews
  • Lead program teams and compile estimate at completion (EACs) at the WBS element and program level
  • Support annual and multi-year financial planning activities
  • Support cost accounting frameworks and processes
  • Data mining across diverse data sets
  • Perform risk & opportunity analyses and provide potential solutions

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or analytical field
  • 5+ years of post-grad financial analysis experience, including preparing project budgets and providing analysis
  • Experience with data mining across diverse data sets
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Experience in helping business managers meet financial targets and deliver results
  • Understanding of underlying business processes and the impact of financial decisions
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's Degree in Finance
  • Experience with cost/schedule integration tools
  • Experience with SQL
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or technology organizations

Compensation Range:

$92,400.00-$129,360.00 (CO applicants), $100,800.00-$141,120.00 (WA applicants)
