Position Overview:

As a Credit Solutions Expert within the Renewables sector at Regions, you will engage directly with clients, collaborating with coverage teams to facilitate credit product transactions that align with client requirements. This role serves as a key line of defense in identifying and mitigating risks associated with credit product transactions. You will collaborate with various teams, including Credit Products, Credit Risk, Client Coverage, and Capital Markets, to analyze credit opportunities, underwrite credit exposure, and manage a diverse portfolio of loans and credit relationships while providing effective oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support coverage bankers in identifying target companies within markets to enhance client selectivity.
  • Deliver value to complex client relationships by articulating Regions' underwriting methodologies and risk appetite for specific credit products.
  • Maintain awareness of loan pricing and structural trends to align client needs with Regions' credit solutions.
  • Engage jointly with coverage bankers to assess the intricate needs and risks of clients.
  • Collaborate with coverage bankers to develop strategies focused on existing and potential credit exposure, optimizing relationships through cross-selling of credit products.
  • Lead the credit process for identified opportunities, ensuring effective structuring, underwriting, and management of new and existing credit products.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Credit Risk.
  • Oversee ongoing portfolio monitoring, ensuring periodic assessments and servicing requirements are met.
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in underwriting and portfolio management.
  • Completion of a significant corporate credit training program or equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience.
  • Experience in relationship management, either as a coverage banker or as a client-facing member of the relationship team.
  • Proficiency in legal document and financial analysis.
  • Understanding of loan structuring needs and documentation requirements.

This role will involve:
  • Leading the structuring and underwriting of Renewables Tax Equity transactions.
  • Overseeing the structuring, underwriting, and syndication of Renewables Project Finance transactions, including construction loans and term loans.
  • Managing the ongoing portfolio of Renewables Tax Equity and Project Finance.
