The Infrastructure Operations Specialist will serve as a vital member of the DevOps team, responsible for overseeing a vast and intricately distributed computing landscape. Proficiency in CentOS, Debian, RHEL, Ansible, Vagrant, Proxmox, PXE boot, Kickstart, and GitHub is essential. Collaboration within a close-knit team of skilled professionals is essential.

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Linux system administration
  • Familiarity with data center operations, networking, and storage solutions
  • Expertise in automation and configuration management utilizing various tools
  • Proficient in Ansible, Vagrant, Proxmox, PXE boot, Kickstart, and GitHub
  • Ability to leverage a diverse range of open-source technologies
  • Experience in patch management and vulnerability assessment
  • Knowledge of best practices in IT operations for continuous service availability
  • Exposure to infrastructure and application security technologies
  • Awareness of industry trends and standards
  • Experience in managing IT lifecycles
  • Capability in project and task planning
  • Familiarity with various requirements gathering methodologies
  • Innovative mindset for problem-solving through research and development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prioritize vulnerabilities in a diverse computing environment
  • Develop and implement Ansible playbooks for system automation using GitHub Enterprise
  • Contribute to research and development initiatives
  • Enhance operations through systems analysis and technology recommendations
  • Advise on hardware, software, and infrastructure acquisitions for data center operations
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation
  • Stay updated on cutting-edge technologies
  • Safeguard operations by ensuring confidentiality of information
  • Assist in the training and development of team members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of technical experience in design, system installations, administration, or support of critical business systems
  • Proven communication skills
  • Understanding of network routing, switching, load balancers, firewalls, and other networking systems
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills to identify root causes
  • Ability to understand the broader organizational goals and align requirements accordingly
  • Strong sense of ownership and a commitment to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a focus on delivering exceptional results
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass background checks
