Position Overview:

An esteemed client in the Financial Services sector is seeking a Slack Infrastructure Specialist to enhance their team. This role is pivotal in managing and supporting the infrastructure related to the collaborative platform, Slack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain the infrastructure of Slack, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Deeply understand Slack's architecture to facilitate performance enhancements and scalability.
  • Implement and manage security features and authentication processes within the Slack environment.
  • Supervise the integration of various add-ons and plugins to enrich Slack's capabilities.
  • Ensure smooth interoperability of Slack with other systems and applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related challenges as they occur.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support diverse business units in their Slack utilization.
  • Engage with Slack as a vendor to address and resolve issues related to new and upgraded functionalities.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Infrastructure, specifically with Slack.
  • Proficient troubleshooting and support experience within the Slack platform.
  • Experience with 3rd party tools and collaboration platforms (e.g., MS Teams, Webex).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Okta, or similar Identity Providers.
  • Experience with Service Now or other ticketing systems.
  • Proficient in monitoring and troubleshooting SaaS applications.
  • Experience in deploying and testing security controls for products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in the Financial Services industry.
  • Any certifications related to Slack.
  • Knowledge of proxy, firewall, or routing issues.
  • Understanding of SaaS security best practices.
