About Us

Since our inception in 2004, KIPP Massachusetts has operated two charter districts: KIPP Academy Lynn and KIPP Academy Boston. Each district encompasses various campuses catering to different grade levels.

In Lynn, we serve grades K-12 across three schools, while in Boston, we serve grades K-8. Our student population is diverse, with significant representation from Hispanic and African American communities.

Position Responsibilities

Classroom Duties

  • Ensure every student feels valued, challenged, and affirmed daily.
  • Create a safe and encouraging learning environment.
  • Design and master engaging and rigorous lesson plans, utilizing available resources and preparation tools.
  • Set ambitious growth targets for students and leverage resources to help them achieve these goals.
  • Implement innovative instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Analyze student performance data to refine teaching practices and improve student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate student records and communicate regularly with families about student progress.

Professional Engagement

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student support.
  • Engage with families through school events and consistent communication.
  • Demonstrate reliability and proactive communication regarding attendance.

Regional Responsibilities

  • Uphold KIPP MA's Code of Conduct, demonstrating integrity and accountability.
  • Complete required certifications and endorsements within the first year of employment.
  • Engage in regional professional development and community events as necessary.

Qualifications

  • A strong belief in the potential of all students.
  • Commitment to equity and anti-racism.
  • Proven ability to foster student growth and create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Passion for mathematics and dedication to professional development.
  • Minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Compliance with vaccination requirements.
  • Successful completion of background checks.
  • Required ESL MTEL passing score and MA ESL Teaching Licensure.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $85,000, based on experience, with additional compensation for advanced degrees. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, flexible PTO, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
