About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the position of Assistant Director at The Goddard School of Saugus, MA. This entry-level role is ideal for a Lead Teacher certified candidate who is looking to transition into an administrative position while still engaging in classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Responsibilities (75%):
    • Assist in creating and maintaining a positive, nurturing classroom environment.
    • Implement and oversee daily lesson plans, ensuring they align with The Goddard School's educational standards.
    • Support teachers in managing classroom activities and maintaining safety and cleanliness.
    • Engage with children, guiding their development and encouraging positive social interactions.
    • Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Administrative Responsibilities (25%):
    • Assist the Director with the daily operations of the school, including scheduling, staff management, and compliance with licensing requirements.
    • Handle enrollment inquiries and assist with the onboarding process for new families.
    • Support staff development by coordinating training sessions and professional development opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate records of student and staff information, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
    • Assist with marketing and community outreach efforts to promote the school and attract new families.
Qualifications
  • Must hold a Director II certification as required by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).
  • Lead Teacher certified with a strong background in early childhood education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center, preferably in a lead teaching role.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Passionate about early childhood education and eager to take on a leadership role within the school.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.
