Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the sale of pre-owned vehicles while ensuring optimal levels of profitability, sales volume, and customer satisfaction.
  • Engages with customers upon their arrival, providing assistance and guidance throughout their visit.
  • Assists clients in choosing the right vehicle by actively listening and asking relevant questions.
  • Delivers detailed product knowledge and demonstrations to potential buyers.
  • Offers test drives, ensuring compliance with dealership protocols for customer identification.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Utilizes the dealership's sales management and follow-up systems effectively.
  • Maintains knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing automotive sales.
  • Sets personal income objectives aligned with dealership productivity standards and formulates strategies to achieve them.
  • Understands vehicle equity and values, clearly explaining depreciation to customers.
  • Ensures customers have the opportunity to meet with the sales manager.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork for finance and insurance transactions accurately.
  • Prepares sold vehicles for delivery, ensuring they are clean and fully operational.
  • Conducts vehicle handovers, ensuring customers are familiar with their new vehicle's features and documentation.
  • Introduces customers to service department staff to highlight the quality of service available.
  • Schedules the initial service appointment for new vehicle owners.
  • Follows up on all post-sale items to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains a system for following up with previous customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Collaborates with service and body shop teams to ensure timely vehicle reconditioning.
  • Participates in regular sales meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Assists in the inspection process for used vehicles.
  • Completes sales orders and processes documentation according to dealership policies.
  • Reviews daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly performance to optimize time management and planning.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle is preferred.
  • Must be capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with automotive terminology and ongoing product developments is essential.
