Role Purpose

The Food & Beverage Manager will oversee the daily operations of our All Day and Fine Dining Restaurants, as well as In-Room Dining services. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional quality in both product and service, while also assisting in long-term strategic planning for each dining venue.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage and will supervise the restaurant staff and room service team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Restaurant General Manager in launching the All Day and Fine Dining Restaurants and In-Room Dining Department, including the development of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide guidance and support to the restaurant and In-Room Dining staff.
  • Participate in pre-conference meetings as required.
  • Lead daily departmental meetings and staff line-ups as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of group information and changes to relevant hotel personnel.
  • Maintain a comprehensive guest history system to track food and beverage preferences.
  • Conduct audits of checks as needed; assist with MICROS corrections; generate shift reports and aid staff with closing procedures.
  • Facilitate the training and onboarding process for new team members.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the dining areas, assisting guests, addressing concerns, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
  • Additional responsibilities may include:
    • Assisting with monthly and weekly forecasts.
    • Monitoring departmental payroll.
    • Attending daily communication meetings.
    • Participating in weekly department head meetings.
    • Engaging in scheduled food and beverage discussions.
    • Contributing to menu development and updates.
    • Revising departmental standards and procedures as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a luxury hotel food and beverage setting or upscale dining establishment.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as well as MICROS and Opera systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English; bilingual candidates are preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing and lifting up to 25 lbs.
