Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Operations Manager to join our team at Guest Services, Inc. As a key member of our Food and Beverage department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our busy 200-seat restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and product presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct a team of servers, bussers, hosts, and bartenders to ensure efficient and safe completion of all retail tasks daily.
  • Train, onboard, and schedule staff to meet the needs of the restaurant.
  • Communicate effectively with the Food and Beverage Manager, Chefs, and Cooks to ensure safe, professional, and efficient food service.
  • Attend and participate in management and safety meetings to stay informed and up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
  • Under the guidance of the Food and Beverage Manager, participate in and give working direction for pre and post-season setup and teardown of the dining room.
  • Manage staff to enforce standards and minimize personnel conflicts.
  • Maintain department records, including schedules, payroll, deposits, tips, and daily cash reports.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • National Park experience strongly preferred; full-service restaurant management experience required.
  • ServSafe Manager certification and MAST/TIPS required.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability, including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and food service POS systems.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to move about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the restaurant.
  • Lift, carry, and push up to 15 lbs. regularly, 20-30 lbs. frequently, and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
  • Withstand temperature extremes in freezer, walk-in refrigerator, and grill areas.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and climb stairs regularly.
  • Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of co-workers and the ability to speak clearly to be understood by same in English.
Equipment Used
  • Food service POS (Point of Sale) system, including cash register and credit card terminal.
  • Typical office equipment, including computer, phone system, fax, copier, scanner, and others.
