The Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS) is a premier health research institute affiliated with the University of Washington, collaborating with notable organizations to enhance health research across the Pacific Northwest. Our mission is to expedite the application of scientific advancements to improve community health.

Position Summary:
The Financial Grants Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations related to grants within ITHS. This position emphasizes the integration of financial software systems for efficient billing and reporting, ensuring the financial integrity of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grant Management (65%):
    Collaborate with ITHS teams to prepare necessary documentation for grant applications and assist in compliance with sponsor requirements. Independently manage award setups and ensure accurate financial tracking for grants and subawards.
  • Program Income Management (15%):
    Oversee billing processes for grant-sponsored services, manage accounts receivable, and ensure timely communication with service center managers to resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Operational Management (10%):
    Act as a liaison with various university offices to facilitate procurement and manage financial activities related to travel and events, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
  • Communications (10%):
    Coordinate project meetings, document decisions, and create informative presentations and reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in various financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining organized documentation and standard operating procedures.
