Internship Overview:
The Human Resources internship at Eli Lilly offers undergraduate students the chance to engage in significant, business-essential projects within the HR division. Interns may be assigned to various HR teams, including Recruiting, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Talent Management, Compensation and Benefits, and Strategic Business roles, among others.

Throughout this internship, you will collaborate with colleagues and leadership, gaining insights into Eli Lilly's global operations in the pharmaceutical industry, enhancing your expertise within a vital HR team, and refining your professional skills. Alongside your project work, you will have opportunities to connect with fellow interns, network with Eli Lilly professionals, explore HR career paths, and engage with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
Your primary duty as an HR intern will be to successfully execute the assigned project. You will collaborate closely with your supervisor to understand the HR team's dynamics and project requirements. Over the internship duration, you will interact with business and HR leaders, develop as an HR professional, and propose innovative solutions or recommendations for your project. At the end of the internship, each intern will present their project insights, findings, recommendations, and overall achievements to senior leaders and stakeholders. For instance, an intern might work in Compensation, partnering with their supervisor to grasp the Compensation landscape and project needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working collaboratively with your assigned team and stakeholders in a manner that embodies Eli Lilly's core values of integrity, excellence, and respect for individuals.
  • Conducting data analysis relevant to your project.
  • Communicating effectively with your team and within the HR department.
  • Creating innovative solutions for the assigned project.
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, having completed your junior year prior to the internship start.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in fields such as human resources, business disciplines, psychology, communications, social sciences, or liberal arts.
  • Expected to graduate in the near future.
  • Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employment visa sponsorship.
