Human Resources Manager Job Description

LHH is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to lead a small HR team and oversee a manufacturing facility of approximately 150 employees. As a key member of the organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the strategic direction of the company and overseeing HR administration and compliance, employee engagement, recruitment, onboarding, talent development, benefits administration, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small HR team and oversee HR administration and compliance
  • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to drive business results
  • Source, recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates
  • Develop and facilitate onboarding programs for new hires
  • Complete paperwork for LOA, Workman's Comp, etc.
  • Organize and administer the performance management program and evaluate and recommend training resources to support employee development
  • Proactively identify issues and concerns and create and implement corrective actions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Ethics, or related field
  • PHR/SHRM Certification preferred
  • Minimum of 8+ years of Human Resources experience within a manufacturing, warehousing, and/or distribution facility
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Human Resources Management experience leading a small HR team
  • Experience using an HRIS
  • Experience with work-related employee issues, injuries, claims, etc. in a manufacturing, distribution, and/or warehousing operation
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and integrity while executing responsibilities
  • Core knowledge of and ability to collaborate with all areas within HR such as payroll, compensation, employee relations, and benefits packages
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and align organizational strategies to maximize talent capability and behaviors
  • Experience in partnering with colleagues in all levels of an organization to drive priorities
