Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

As an Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibilities will include conducting patient evaluations, formulating care plans, and executing and assessing treatment strategies. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop personalized care plans and adjust them based on patient responses.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of care plans.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, including Resource Nurses and Physicians.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac monitoring, identifying dysrhythmias, and responding according to established protocols.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of all patients as per hospital policy.
  • Monitor patients' hemodynamic status and accurately interpret results.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address patients' comprehensive needs.
  • Oversee and coordinate patient care as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience: 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Licenses and Certifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a Compact Nursing License (Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
