Position Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurses for immediate travel assignments. The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

Key Responsibilities:
As an ICU Travel Nurse, your primary duties will include:
  • Evaluating and monitoring patients in a critical care environment.
  • Providing direct care to patients facing life-threatening conditions.
  • Documenting and delivering physician-directed care.
  • Assessing and implementing patient care plans.
  • Delegating tasks to other healthcare providers as necessary.

Patient and Family Support:
In addition to clinical responsibilities, you will also:
  • Educate and support patient families, addressing potential long-term care needs.

Essential Tasks:
As part of your role, you will be expected to:
  • Administer and record prescribed medications, noting any adverse reactions.
  • Order and assess diagnostic tests, as well as interpret lab results.
  • Monitor specialized equipment and document electronic displays.
  • Ensure proper placement and functionality of medical devices.
  • Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding their conditions.

Physical Requirements:
ICU Travel Nurses should be prepared for the physical demands of the role, including:
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Lifting patients, which may require up to 50 pounds at times.

Safety Considerations:
Be aware that RNs may encounter hazards from exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases, and will care for patients who may exhibit confusion or agitation.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
  • ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Additional certifications may be required prior to assignment.
