Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at St. David's Surgical Hospital. As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and revise patient care plans based on individual needs and goals
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
  • Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience in an acute care setting - preferred
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policy
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - preferred
