Responsibilities

As an Imaging Registered Nurse (RN), your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting patient assessments and developing individualized care plans.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
  • Administering medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Providing pre- and post-operative care to patients.
  • Educating patients and their families about care and treatment options.
  • Utilizing equipment in the Interventional Short Stay Unit safely and effectively.
  • Facilitating discharge planning in conjunction with the care team.
Qualifications

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Telemetry experience is required; recent intermediate critical care experience is preferred.

Education:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License (Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.

St. David's South Austin Medical Center is a 368-bed acute care facility offering a wide range of specialized services. We are affiliated with the Texas Institute for Robotic Surgery and provide advanced surgical options across various disciplines.
