Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our 21-bed combined Intensive Care and Progressive Care unit.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate assigned patients and develop individualized care plans
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
- Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
- American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 90 days of hire
- Minimum two (2) years of recent ICU/Critical Care experience in an acute care hospital setting required
