Position Overview:

Service is the cornerstone of our ethos at Vail Resorts, and our retail personnel exemplify this commitment to providing an extraordinary experience. As a key player in our Retail Management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting store operations. Our retail leaders are well-informed ambassadors of our brand and culture, prepared to assist customers with inquiries and offer premium products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations, tracking performance and budget, including scheduling and payroll; serve as acting manager in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Maintain daily records related to performance, sales metrics, inventory management, and equipment rentals (if applicable).
  • Recruit and train staff on POS system usage, product knowledge, guest service, rental processes, and loss prevention policies.
  • Evaluate team performance and behavior to provide constructive feedback and guidance, recognizing achievements or addressing areas for improvement as necessary.
  • Stay informed about product offerings and deliver outstanding customer service through prompt responses to inquiries, suggestions, and complaints.
  • Engage in leadership forums to provide insights and feedback on store performance, training, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including specialized areas such as merchandising and rentals.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Business-related training or education preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail supervision; experience in the ski industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of RPOS is highly recommended.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, multitasking and managing multiple customer interactions.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Fluency in English is required.
The expected pay range is $25 - $27 per hour. This range reflects our reasonable expectations for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on various factors.
