Key Responsibilities:

This role involves planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating engineering tasks at designated manufacturing sites. You will ensure adherence to relevant codes and engineering standards while facilitating effective communication among all project stakeholders. The projects you will manage will vary significantly in scope, from minor installations to extensive expansions. A strong ability to juggle multiple projects across different locations while adhering to budgetary and quality standards is essential. A commitment to continuous improvement and learning is crucial to navigate challenges effectively.

  • Define, manage, and implement installations related to equipment, processes, buildings, and utilities within the integrated supply chain.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of both technical and managerial aspects of projects, including collaboration with contractors and internal teams.
  • Identify potential technical issues early and initiate corrective measures.
  • Maintain regular communication with project clients.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing facilities to address equipment and layout challenges.
  • Assist in drafting engineering project proposals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings across multiple facilities.
  • Lead updates to sanitary equipment design in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Support facilities in troubleshooting production and equipment issues as required.
  • Assist in the development of equipment purchase and project plans for future upgrades or capacity enhancements.
  • Engage in meetings to resolve project-related issues and gather feedback to enhance project execution.
  • Ensure clear communication regarding engineering and client interactions by understanding the supply chain and the implications of project changes.
  • Travel requirements will depend on project workload, approximately 60%.
Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in capital expenditure projects, maintenance, equipment/process design, preferably in a food production environment.
  • Proven project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, customers, and team members.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Familiarity with consumer packaged goods (CPG) packaging technology and automation.
  • Experience with AutoCAD software.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, 3A standards, and USDA regulations.
