About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Project Engineer to join our team at Michael Foods, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned engineering work at assigned manufacturing facilities.
  • Technical Expertise: Monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and standards.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Ensure effective communication between all disciplines and all other project participants.
  • Project Management: Work extensively with and require assistance from multiple departments throughout the organization to properly define and execute successful projects.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify, define, program manage, and implement equipment/process/building/utility installations within the integrated supply chain.
  • Client Relationships: Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects, including contractors/equipment manufacturers/internal support.
  • Travel: Travel is project/workload dependent, approximately 60%.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing/Chemical Engineering or related experience/education.
  • Experience: 5+ years of end-user experience with CapEx projects, maintenance, equipment/process design, and food production environment a plus.
  • Project Management: Project management experience. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication. Ability to work with vendors, customers, and employees.
