Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Resource LPN to join our team at The Portland Clinic. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of our patients in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform focused assessments and triage on routine or self-limiting medical conditions via phone and in-person encounters, as directed by the RN/Provider.
- Recognize when to defer to or consult with the RN/Provider when encountering complex medical conditions.
- Administer various medications (including parenteral, oral, and/or topical) and document per TPC policy.
In addition to providing excellent patient care, you will also assist the provider as needed with diagnostic and/or surgical procedures and exams specific to the department. This may include but is not limited to assisting and set-up with in-office procedures, gynecological exams, performing EKGs, PFT/spirometry, minor wound care and dressing, suture or staple removal, nebulizer treatments, and administering medications/vaccinations.
Requirements:- LPN graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Valid Oregon Nursing License
- CPR certification
Please note that previous clinic and/or hospital experience is preferred, as is current ICD and CPT coding. You should also have a basic understanding of infection control, legalities of charting and telephone conversations, and strong patient assessment ability.
