Job Overview

Dexis Consulting Group is a leading professional services firm dedicated to addressing significant social challenges in intricate environments, striving for a more secure and prosperous global community.

We prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a safe atmosphere where diverse backgrounds are celebrated, and every individual is treated with respect. We value the unique experiences that each person contributes, regardless of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, military or veteran status, national origin, age, marital status, or family status.

At Dexis, you will find a corporate culture rooted in inclusiveness, fairness, and trust. We provide the resources and mentorship necessary for your success, and we recognize and reward your creativity.

We are currently seeking to establish a roster of experts to contribute to high-quality research and program evaluations concerning the federal-state Unemployment Insurance (UI) system and the pressing issues it faces, in support of an anticipated collaboration with the Department of Labor.

Experts on this roster will engage in producing timely analyses and research with significant policy implications for the DOL, the Federal Government, and state administrations. They will deliver rigorous, quantitative, and mixed-methods research aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the UI system, particularly in light of the evolving economic landscape for both workers and employers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research and evaluation studies on federal-state UI programs.
  • Analyze data related to federal-state UI initiatives.
  • Assess the implementation of pandemic-related UI programs.
  • Access, analyze, and evaluate the Integrity Data Hub.
  • Offer recommendations to governmental entities regarding the effectiveness of unemployment assistance programs and strategies for improvement.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or PhD in economics, political science, public policy, sociology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in academic research, economic studies, assessments, or program evaluations, with a focus on unemployment insurance (UI) programs and data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, suitable for effective interaction with mid- and high-level partners.

If you possess a strong interest in federal-state UI programs and have expertise in conducting research and evaluations of government initiatives, we encourage you to submit your CV. Experts will be engaged on a part-time basis for specific studies, with Dexis anticipating up to 20 studies across various UI-related topics.

This Call for CVs aims to build a roster of experts with relevant experience in unemployment insurance. Applications are reviewed regularly, and additional job descriptions may be posted as related staff positions become available.

Dexis is committed to addressing today's most urgent global political, social, and economic challenges, striving to create a world where all individuals are safe and prosperous. As a member of Dexis, you will be challenged, empowered, and mentored. Our guiding principle is "find a way or make a way" — how will you contribute?

Note: Only applicants meeting the specified criteria will be contacted for interviews. Dexis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, sex, national origin, religion, pregnancy, disability, age, genetic information, military service, veteran status, ethnicity, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, childbirth and related medical conditions, or any other protected class under applicable law.
