RESEARCH ANALYST ROLE

As a Research Analyst (RA) at The Brattle Group, you will play a vital role in our project teams, collaborating with senior consultants and specialists. Your duties will encompass:

  • Quantitative Models and Solutions: You will develop models and devise innovative data-driven solutions for clients utilizing programming languages such as R, Python, Stata, SAS, Excel, and VBA (e.g., performing data and statistical analysis, econometric evaluation, constructing interactive dashboards, etc.).
  • Qualitative Research and Literature Review: You will undertake thorough research, including market assessments, literature reviews, document analysis, and drafting memos to deliver insights and support expert reports.
  • Supporting Expert Witnesses: You will assist in the preparation of expert reports and presentations, aiding our experts in articulating complex economic and financial concepts clearly in legal and regulatory settings.
  • Collaborating with Team Members: Effective communication and teamwork are essential. You will work closely with colleagues at all levels, contributing to the creation of robust and innovative solutions for our clients.
TYPICAL CASES IN METRICS

In the METRICS practice, you will engage in cases such as:

  • Antitrust & Competition: Analyze markets, assess any competitive restrictions, and estimate relevant damages.
  • Telecom: Conduct analyses related to competition, auctions, and mergers within the telecommunications sector.
  • Consumer Protection and Product Liability: Evaluate the impact of misinformation on consumer choices and determine the value consumers assign to specific product features through statistical and econometric analysis of sales data.
RA CAREER DEVELOPMENT

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, computer science, data science, or mathematics) with a strong academic record.
