The Microsoft Federal division was created to meet the specific mission, legal, regulatory requirements, and procurement processes of the United States Government (USG). Microsoft Federal is committed to ensuring that its resources, including qualified, experienced, and certified personnel (with necessary security clearances), are available to address the evolving needs of the USG. Consequently, Microsoft adopts a flexible approach to recruiting, hiring, and assigning personnel within Microsoft Federal. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field AND a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a relevant business area.

Alternatively, equivalent experience will be considered.

Additional Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess an active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance. Meeting Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is essential for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance may lead to employment consequences.

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to comply with federal government customer requirements. Clearance verification information will be requested prior to an employment offer.

Cloud Screening: Candidates must successfully complete a Microsoft Cloud background screening, which will be conducted bi-annually.

Preferred Qualifications

This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to legal restrictions. It supports U.S. federal, state, and/or local government agency customers and is subject to specific citizenship-based restrictions as permitted by law. Citizenship will be verified through a valid passport or other approved documents.

  • Technical expertise in areas such as Active Directory Domain Services, Active Directory Federated Services, Kubernetes, MS Hyper-V/VMWare, Windows Server Update Services, Azure VPN Gateways, Azure Monitor, and Group Policy management.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in SCI/SAP environments.
  • Certifications such as AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert), AZ-600 (Azure Stack Hub), or similar.
  • Certifications like CISSP, Security+, or equivalent.

Role Responsibilities

The Senior Consultant will oversee hands-on automation and enhancement of software and data migration in secure cloud environments. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading systems administration for Azure DevOps, PKI, Active Directory, and application installations.
  • Identifying and prioritizing workload migrations into new secure cloud environments, including Azure Stack Hub and hyperscale settings.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of unstructured data migration from existing stores to new environments while ensuring data integrity.
  • Delivering capability as-a-service, managing operations, maintenance, security, and modernization.

Key Tasks Include:

  • Designing and developing hypervisor servers/clusters for essential services to remote offices.
  • Analyzing and optimizing existing Active Directory Infrastructure.
  • Creating global federation designs for collaboration and high availability.
  • Utilizing Azure, federation services, and identity management platforms to integrate multiple sources of record.
