Job Title: Surgical Patient Care Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Surgical Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the surgical patient's experience, from initial consultation to post-operative care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule initial consultations and manage patient inquiries, follow up with leads, and track their progress using CRM lead management software.
  • Present detailed surgical quotes to patients, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Manage patient payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee the preoperative process, including scheduling Preoperative appointments and creating comprehensive Preoperative Checklists & Packets for patients.
  • Order necessary labs and preoperative testing, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Send Surgery Scheduling Forms, lab results, and consult notes to the surgical center to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Assist in ordering medical supplies and surgical garments, ensuring availability for upcoming procedures.
  • Maintain patient charts with up-to-date medical records and thorough documentation, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
  • Follow up with patients' post-surgery to provide support, address any concerns, and gather feedback to enhance their experience.
  • Encourage and facilitate patient reviews to contribute to the clinic's reputation for excellence.
  • Handle incoming calls with professionalism and empathy, providing accurate information and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within a plastic surgery or dermatology practice.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Knowledge of patients' rights and medical legal aspects for release of information.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in the areas of plastic surgery and dermatology.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of ethical practice.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
