Position Overview

Role Summary: The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee hazardous waste site projects as a Response Manager or Project Manager. This position may also encompass duties as a Waste Transportation & Disposal Coordinator or Regulatory Specialist, depending on qualifications. The role will primarily involve work in various EPA regions, ensuring compliance and effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage site personnel, subcontractors, and specialized teams.
  • Direct daily operations, including the preparation of work orders.
  • Monitor project progress, schedules, and financials against established plans.
  • Review daily cost tracking reports and engage with clients on project status.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce site safety protocols.
  • Prepare essential project documentation, including Work Plans and Safety Plans.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and permit stipulations.
  • Facilitate waste transportation and disposal activities, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Maintain comprehensive onsite project records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or scientific discipline.
  • Certification as a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) is preferred.
  • 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in response operations involving hazardous materials.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar role, managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations, including DOT and OSHA.
  • Desired training includes HAZWOPER, ICS, and DOT/Hazardous Waste.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 65% of the time.
