We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled NEPA Compliance Manager / Environmental Planner to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage environmental planning initiatives, ensuring compliance with NEPA regulations while offering expert guidance on environmental impact considerations.

This position presents a unique opportunity that balances challenge and satisfaction, demanding exceptional project management capabilities, keen attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of environmental policies and regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in regulatory permitting and will be equipped to support project managers while leading the regulatory and permitting processes for diverse projects across various regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute NEPA analyses, including Environmental Impact Statements, particularly in collaboration with federal land management agencies.
  • Prepare and manage applications for county, state, and federal permits.
  • Conduct comprehensive studies and resource analyses, engaging with governmental bodies and agencies.
  • Support the permitting of complex projects, demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, urban/regional planning, environmental policy, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in NEPA assessments and regulatory compliance in the U.S.
  • Strong research, analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with remote team members.
  • Proficient in task management and project deliverables.
  • Commitment to safety and hazard mitigation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with land use permits and project management.
  • Familiarity with federal land management agency requirements.
  • Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) such as ArcGIS.

Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with experience, with a range of $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
