Key Responsibilities

Overview

In light of the ongoing health crisis, the start date for selected candidates may be postponed until employees are permitted to return to their designated work locations. Selected individuals may work remotely to the fullest extent possible until it is deemed safe to resume regular on-site duties.

Primary Duties

The role encompasses a comprehensive range of responsibilities supporting an Air Traffic Control facility. This includes managing daily operations and long-term initiatives such as program oversight, quality assurance, and training development. Specific tasks include:

  • Maintaining and updating personnel training records across various digital platforms.
  • Organizing and overseeing training documentation for all staff members.
  • Collaborating with leadership to formulate an annual training strategy for the facility.
  • Providing area knowledge training for new hires.
  • Conducting training sessions to allocate on-the-job training instructors to new personnel.
  • Compiling accident reporting documentation.
  • Updating procedural directives at both satellite and main facilities.
  • Formatting documents for approval and tracking changes in aeronautical publications.
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for specific operational systems.
  • Regularly reviewing operational processes to ensure alignment with agency objectives and customer satisfaction.

Employment Conditions

All candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with limited exceptions as mandated by law. U.S. Citizenship is required, and males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered with the Selective Service. Candidates must provide specific documentation as part of the application process.

Qualifications

To qualify, applicants must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-G/AT-AG level. This experience should reflect a thorough understanding of air traffic control regulations and familiarity with FAA systems.

Applicants must possess or have previously held a facility rating in a Flight Service Station. Clear documentation of this rating is essential for eligibility.
