Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Air Traffic Control Specialist to join our team at the Federal Aviation Administration. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing critical support to our air traffic facilities, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of air traffic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day and long-term support to air traffic facilities, including orders, goals, quality control, and training.
  • Enter and maintain personnel training records in various computer-based systems.
  • Update and maintain training items in employee training folders.
  • Develop annual facility training plans and issue area knowledge training for new employees.
  • Hold training meetings to establish OJTIs for new trainees and establish and assemble accident reporting packages.
  • Update orders and directives at satellite and parent facilities, format MBIs for signature, and assign in CEDAR.
  • Initiate and track changes to aeronautical publications and work across lines of business for issues of mutual concern.
  • Facility SME for OASIS, including data entry for Master Flight Plans and Change Requests.
  • Facility SME on contingency plans and ACT 2, and facility SME for eSRS.
  • Continuously review work processes to ensure results meet the agency's mission and customer needs.
Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to an FV-G/AT-AG (D3)/FG/GS-11 in an air traffic facility.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of air traffic control laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience with FAA platforms and programs such as OASIS, CEDAR, and eSRS.
  • Facility-rated or previously held a facility rating in a Flight Service Station (FSS).
Working Conditions

This is a bargaining unit position. The person selected for this position may be required to file a financial disclosure statement within 30 days of entry on duty. FAA policy limits certain outside employment and financial investments in aviation-related companies.
