Position Overview

Aviation Maintenance Technicians are responsible for conducting thorough maintenance on company aircraft to ensure safe and dependable operations.

Compensation Starting at $34/Hour + DOE

Key Responsibilities
  • Promptly notify the supervisor of any identified discrepancies or unairworthy conditions encountered during assigned tasks.
  • Conduct heavy checks, service checks, line maintenance, pre-flight inspections, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Execute major and minor repairs or modifications to company aircraft, including engine systems, flight controls, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, landing gear systems, and structural components.
  • Alter aircraft structures, systems, or components by adhering to engineering drawings, technical publications, or directives.
  • Service and maintain aircraft systems, adjusting, aligning, and calibrating them using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment. Assess engine and system operations.
  • Remove and install aircraft engines and propellers, disassembling and inspecting parts and engines for wear, warping, or defects such as cracks or leaks.
  • Perform towing, taxiing, and engine run-up of aircraft, as qualified.
  • Heat, deice, and refuel aircraft as necessary.
  • Launch and recover company aircraft.
  • Operate ground support equipment and perform minor maintenance as required.
  • Be available for on-call contract maintenance as needed.
  • Document maintenance repairs and alterations in accordance with regulations, utilizing appropriate company forms. Sign out serviceable aircraft parts and tag repairable components removed from aircraft.
  • Familiarize oneself with all company manuals and airworthiness directives, performing duties in compliance with established policies and procedures. Regularly review maintenance bulletins and memos.
  • Interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine efficient methods for replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Supervise mechanic helpers in performing duties within the A&P's qualifications and document on-the-job training.
  • Maintain current certifications in all required training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Must possess an Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • Ability to comprehend and retain information presented both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of machinery and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.
  • Manual dexterity is required for assembling and disassembling intricate components.
  • Frequent lifting of weights of 70 lbs or more is necessary.
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces, ladders, and work stands for extended periods.
  • Capability to work in extreme weather conditions.
