Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute a detailed pricing strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
  • Perform comprehensive market research, competitor assessments, and customer segmentation to uncover pricing opportunities and challenges.
  • Lead collaborative efforts across various departments to implement pricing strategies, working closely with merchandising, marketing, finance, and Membership & Loyalty teams.
  • Employ advanced analytics and sophisticated pricing models to assess pricing effectiveness and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Initiate pricing optimization projects, utilizing data-driven insights to refine pricing frameworks, discount approaches, and promotional pricing.
  • Continuously analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviors to proactively modify pricing strategies for optimal profitability.
  • Establish and uphold strong pricing governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to industry best practices.
  • Implement robust pricing controls and review processes to mitigate pricing-related risks and maintain pricing integrity throughout the organization.
  • Provide strategic guidance to sales teams during pricing negotiations, contract renewals, and customer-specific pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising to evaluate pricing implications of new products, features, and offerings.
  • Create and implement comprehensive pricing performance metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor the success of pricing strategies.
  • Regularly present insightful reports and updates on pricing performance, market trends, and competitive analysis to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Deliver pricing insights, recommendations, and strategic plans to senior leadership to facilitate informed decision-making and align pricing initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and profitability through effective pricing strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a history of developing and managing high-performing pricing teams.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, and proficiency in data analysis tools and pricing software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex pricing concepts to diverse audiences.
  • In-depth understanding of market dynamics, pricing methodologies, and optimization techniques.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to analyze profitability and margin calculations.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy, data integrity, and compliance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field; an advanced degree is advantageous.
  • Significant experience (10+ years) in strategic pricing management, strategy development, and execution, ideally in a leadership capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with PowerBi, Snowflake, or Python.
