Job Summary:

The Account Executive is a key business contact for clients, responsible for delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to meet their insurance needs. This role requires a deep understanding of industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to provide tailored solutions that exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and provide proactive solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments, market conditions, and regulatory changes to ensure clients receive the best possible service.
  • Coordinate Lockton resources to deliver high-quality service and meet client expectations.
  • Manage marketing strategies and selection for new and renewal business to protect current clients and secure new business.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with carriers and other providers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate the renewal of current client business, including providing renewal notices, completing exposure checklists, and delivering submissions to markets.
  • Undertake responsibility for new business as directed and develop, implement, and monitor client service plans.
  • Prepare and deliver stewardship reports and oversee the work of others, including training and giving technical supervision to assigned associates.
  • Perform tasks not assigned to the Account Administrator or Account Manager and prepare written correspondence, reports, and analyses as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent.
  • Typically, 7+ years of Client services experience is required.
  • Minimum of five years of working knowledge of commercial property and casualty coverages and services required.
  • At least three years of experience marketing and servicing the insurance needs of commercial accounts required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge and experience within the brokerage industry and understands industry trends and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to attend industry training sessions company as required and strong attention to detail required.
  • Readiness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the insurance industry by successful completion of extended insurance education beyond continuing education requirements as needed.
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information.
  • Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, project team members, and associates at all levels of responsibility, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner.
  • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and be away from home more than one day and night.
  • Legally able to work in the United States.
