Position Overview

The Athletic Travel Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing travel arrangements for collegiate teams and administrative staff. This role is integral to the athletic department and requires a representative of AEG's travel division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all elements of team travel, including group flights, hotel accommodations, and charter transportation.
  • Facilitate individual travel arrangements, including air travel, lodging, and vehicle rentals.
  • Provide emergency support and after-hours assistance to the athletic department.
  • Secure travel approvals and prepare detailed trip itineraries.
  • Adhere to ticketing deadlines and requirements.
  • Maintain a professional rapport with clients while representing the organization.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must fulfill each essential duty to the highest standards. The following qualifications are preferred:
  • Familiarity with Sabre or similar Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
  • Experience in athletics and/or travel coordination for sports teams.
  • Proficiency in group booking procedures.
  • Experience with car and hotel reservations.
  • Competence in standard office software, including Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to produce precise work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.
