Job Summary

The Assistant Project Manager is a key member of the Sloan Security Group team, responsible for assisting the Project Managers in overseeing projects from start to finish. This role requires a high level of organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Scheduling and Planning
    • Develop and maintain project schedules and plans
    • Review and coordinate project plans and specifications
    • Coordinate with designers and stakeholders as necessary
    • Manage material submittals and procurement
    • Coordinate labor force and equipment
    • Submit Requests for Information (RFIs) and Change Proposals (CPs) as needed
  • Documentation and Close-Outs
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project changes and documentation
    • Ensure proper close-out of projects, including handoff to the warranty department
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including project managers, designers, and subcontractors
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals and objectives are met
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in project coordination or a related field
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Advanced organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office, ProCore, and other project management software
    • Knowledge of construction principles, methods, and practices
    • OSHA 30 certification
  • Travel and Work Environment
    • Up to 10% travel required, with ability to obtain a passport and travel domestically and internationally
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities
