We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to oversee all HR functions for our client, a locally owned nursing home in New Orleans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of full cycle recruiting and labor legislation, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor legislation
  • Prepare and review compensation and benefits packages, including health and life insurance programs
  • Administer training and development plans to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Plan and conduct quarterly and annual performance review sessions to evaluate employee performance
  • Update employee records with new hire information and changes in employment status
  • Maintain organizational charts, job descriptions, and salary records
  • Forecast hiring needs and ensure a smooth recruitment process
  • Monitor budgets by department and process employee queries in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources
  • Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll processes
  • Familiarity with full cycle recruiting and excellent communication skills
