Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will play a vital role in the daily operations of the HR Department at Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orléans. This position will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, collaborating with hiring teams to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Employee Relations: Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Benefits Administration: Perform general human resource functions including onboarding, offboarding, recordkeeping, and benefits administration.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Training and Development: Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, strong attention to detail, ability to organize, maintain, and analyze data.
