Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team at the Department of Agriculture. As a key member of our National Finance Center, you will be responsible for directing the operations and activities of our Human Resources Management Staff and Human Resources Services Staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute long-range plans for sustainment and improvement of civilian federal human resources service delivery
  • Manage the distribution of staff workload to meet the missions of serviced customers
  • Collaborate with senior organizational leaders to convey overall processes, procedures, and internal policies
  • Brief higher ranking officials on HR program policies and processes
  • Oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of all HR programs
  • Manage and direct varied human capital management operations
Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent in the public sector
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal human resources regulations, policies, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to analyze proposed changes in organizations and operations to assess impact on Human Capital planning programs
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
