Job Summary

Fort Moore Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) HR Office is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of HR Assistant (Developmental) NF-0203 NF-02/03. This position is located at Fort Moore, in Columbus, Georgia, and offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in human resources and recruitment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of technical support tasks, primarily in recruitment and staffing.
  • Coordinate with management officials to recruit for position vacancies.
  • Develop and post vacancy announcements.
  • Rate resumes for qualifications, hiring preference/priority criteria, and other job-related criteria.
  • Refer qualified candidates to management for consideration.
  • Respond to applicant and management inquiries on procedures such as application procedures, application statuses, and criteria used in qualifications decisions.
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess six (6) months of progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, which demonstrates the ability to accomplish various human resources tasks and utilize human resource information systems.

Applicants must also possess experience utilizing an automated recruitment and staffing system, as well as prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Additionally, the ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems is required.

Highly Preferred: Prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office in a recruitment and placement capacity is highly desirable. Applicants meeting this criterion will be referred to management for consideration first.
