ADMINISTRATIVE OPERATIONS LEADER

Bark Out is in search of a meticulous and seasoned professional to uphold excellence in our organizational management.

Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary, vacation hours accrued in the first year, annual sick leave, and optional employee group medical and dental coverage. Eligible for a paid sabbatical after three years of service. Retirement plan with employer matching.

Work Location: Hybrid model with some in-office presence required.

Founded in 1999, Bark Out is dedicated to transforming natural landscapes into thriving ecosystems while fostering community investment in environmental restoration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations Management (30%): Oversee the annual budget, office logistics, equipment, technology, and operational processes. Act as the primary liaison with contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with organizational regulations.

Financial Oversight (30%): Manage all financial processes in collaboration with external bookkeeping services. Handle banking operations, accounts payable, and receivable, ensuring adherence to financial protocols.

Development Support (20%): Supervise donation processing and financial reporting, assisting with donor engagement and grant management.

Human Resources Management (10%): Facilitate new employee onboarding and maintain employee records, with experience in union environments considered a plus.

Payroll and Benefits Administration (5%): Ensure compliance with payroll and benefits systems, overseeing a small team and managing accurate reporting.

Miscellaneous Duties (5%): Provide operational updates to the Board of Directors and assist in budget development.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 2 years in financial oversight and operations management, with a strong understanding of non-profit financial processes and employment policies.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ability to manage multiple tasks with precision, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in modern office technologies.
