Position Overview:
We are looking for a Safety Specialist to oversee safety compliance within our organization. This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to safety regulations at the federal, state, and local levels. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing safety data, preparing reports, and developing compliance protocols. The specialist will also conduct safety audits, provide training for personnel, and maintain compliance documentation.

3. Management of Worker's Compensation
4. Conducting Safety Inspections
5. Training and Development of Staff
6. Maintenance of Compliance Records
7. Incident Management and Reporting
8. Industrial Hygiene Monitoring
9. Coordination with Community and Government Entities
10. Keeping Updated on Regulatory Changes
11. Promoting Sustainability and Governance Practices

Qualifications:
Regulatory Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, including hazard assessment, HAZCOM, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and heat injury prevention.


Certifications:
OSHA 30, First Aid, AED training, and Stop the Bleed certification, or willingness to obtain these certifications promptly.

Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective interaction with regulatory bodies, conducting training sessions, and preparing comprehensive reports.

Organizational Abilities:
Proficient in maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely submission of necessary documentation.

Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to collaborate effectively with plant personnel, management, and regulatory agencies, fostering a cooperative approach to safety compliance.


Training and Development Skills:
Capable of designing and delivering training programs focused on safety goals, processes, and procedures for plant staff.

Project Management Skills:
Adept at managing multiple projects and tasks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience. Familiarity with regulatory matters, including program development and policy implementation. Ability to occasionally lift up to 45 pounds.

Additional Information:
Candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and background check. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range:
$50,000 - $65,000 annually (based on experience) + Commission
