Key Responsibilities:

The Educational Center Administrator will act as the primary leader in the absence of the Principal or Assistant Principal. This role involves collaboration with all educational staff to ensure the effective implementation and management of educational programs. The position reports directly to the Principal or their designated representative.

  • Lead staff in evaluating educational center needs and establishing objectives for long-term and short-term planning.
  • Design, coordinate, and assess the on-site student support and enrichment programs.
  • Supervise assigned personnel and facilitate professional development opportunities.
  • Develop a communication strategy and community relations plan to ensure student safety and program success.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as district policies.
  • Assist in administering state-mandated assessments and supervise testing procedures.
  • Participate in committees and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Develop after-school curricula tailored to the individual needs of students in collaboration with teachers.
  • Monitor student progress and provide leadership to center staff, including volunteers.
  • Coordinate volunteer involvement in various center activities.
  • Attend parent-teacher conferences as necessary.
  • Organize training sessions for all personnel, tutors, and volunteers.
  • Utilize diverse methods to promote the center's activities and benefits to the community.
  • Engage in networking meetings with community stakeholders.
  • Oversee data collection and record-keeping for program evaluation and planning.
  • Monitor compliance with the company's policies and collaborate with student services personnel.
  • Provide substitute teaching as needed and maintain student rosters.
  • May manage a caseload of up to ten students.
  • Communicate regularly about center activities with the Principal, staff, and students.
  • Assist in coordinating accreditation processes and student success teams.
  • Facilitate interventions for at-risk students and collaborate with special education and ELL teams.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned.
  • Supervise and guide team members in their daily responsibilities and professional growth.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of modern management and instructional methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of school personnel and the community.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in an educational setting.
  • Prior teaching or school counseling experience is essential.
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Valid California Teaching Credential with English Language Authorization or California Pupil Personnel Services credential.
  • Experience in project management and program development is preferred.
  • Proficient in student information systems and educational software.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel as required for job duties.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Physical Requirements:

  • Finger dexterity for tasks such as typing and handling small objects.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying important information.
  • Adequate hearing for normal conversations.
