Front Desk Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and friendly Guest Service Agent to join our team at Embassy Suites Palm Desert. As a Guest Service Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
- Register and assign guests to hotel rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
- Establish methods of payment and verify credit to ensure accurate billing.
- Make and confirm reservations, as well as compute bills and collect payments from guests.
- Transmit and receive messages using telephones or the PMS system, and respond to guest requests in a timely manner.
- Resolve guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to supervisors as needed.
- Secure guests' valuables in the hotel safe or safe-deposit boxes, and perform bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts and conducting audits.
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work towards increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to the hotel's EarthView program, and practice safe work habits while wearing protective safety equipment and following MSDS and OSHA standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service experience or equivalent training required.
- Knowledge of PMS systems preferred.
Work Environment
- Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.
