Position Overview

The Bergaila Companies is looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator. The chosen individual will acquire knowledge and develop expertise in the upkeep and servicing of machinery used in a water treatment facility.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Compensation

This role offers a competitive pay rate of $19.26 per hour.

Requirements

Candidates must possess either a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

This position includes an on-call schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment necessary for loading, unloading, transporting, and distributing materials such as sand, gravel, dirt, and waste products.
  • Utilize various heavy machinery including Dump Trucks, Hydro Excavators, and Ditch Witch.
  • Perform excavation and backfilling of ditches and trenches.
  • Clean and maintain vehicles, heavy machinery, pumps, tools, and other equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and machinery; perform minor maintenance tasks such as oil changes and lubrication.
  • Maintain the grounds and facilities, including mowing, trimming, and landscaping duties.
  • Be available to respond to management pages as required.
  • Willingness to work on-call shifts and respond promptly to call-ins.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Proficient in operating heavy machinery.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
